Entertainment will be provided by the Bull Run Troubadours and the BEAM Steppers. Fun, food & door prizes. This is a time where cancer survivors can share their stories. To receive a free invitation to this event PLEASE SIGN UP AS A CANCER SURVIVOR ON THE WEBSITE, WWW.RELAYFORLIFE.ORG/PRINCEWILLIAMVA or contact the Cancer Survivor Committee Lead, Jackie Corbin at 571-248-2199 or [email protected] .

The Relay For Life of Prince William County is a community event where teams and individuals come together to honor, celebrate, and raise funds and awareness in an effort to free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer. Money raised will help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease today, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations.

On June 10th, the Relay for Life will end with a luminaria ceremony. Luminarias honor every life touched by cancer. While walking the track to the sound of a lone bagpiper, walkers will see the track lined with candlelit bags dedicated to a loved one lost, someone currently battling, or anyone who’s overcome it.

Founded by Dr. Gordy Klatt in Washington in 1985, the Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to save lives from cancer. Uniting communities across the globe, we celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change. During Relay For Life events, members of each team take turns walking or running around the track or path. Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.
