The Sunflower Concert

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 is simply an evening to worship the Lord no matter where you are on your life’s journey. But for those who are grieving or suffering, we want you to know that 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝑨𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆.
All proceeds will go directly to The Ilona Foundation. This organization was founded by Leonard and Amy Bailey of Stafford, VA after losing their 23 year old daughter in a tragic car accident in 2022. The mission of the foundation is to come alongside any who are grieving with a message of Hope.
This year’s featured artist is Wendell Kimbrough. As a recording singer and songwriter, his music reflects all that we experience–from lament, grief, and anger, to playful & joyful celebration and worship. His music is steeped in folk, gospel, and country roots with melodies that are catchy and words that are earnest and deeply enriched with Scripture. Churches around the world use Wendell’s music in their services.
Also performing and leading us in worship is the local band Crooked Sticks, with musicians who are members and friends of Hope of Christ Church in Stafford.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫? This concert is for YOU! Everyone of us in life experiences suffering and loss. Everyone will have a friend who needs us in their time of grieving.
Come and be encouraged as we praise the Lord for His faithfulness, even if it’s through our pain.
