Lown Institute + Advocates for Clean & Clear Waterways

For this week in Community Matters we are sharing two great interviews with you. The first is with Dr. Sani of the Lown Institute, and he’ll be sharing some results from the Hospitals Index his organization has just completed. This index essentially compares Virginia hospitals with each other based on an equal set of criteria, and he also addresses how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the quality of care in our region.

Our second interview is with Caleb Malendino of Advocates for Clean & Clear Waterways, an organization that he & his roommate founded to help clean up our local water features – rivers, lakes, etc. They rely on the support of the community to let them know about areas where clean up is needed, and they are also on the lookout for volunteers to assist with the clean up process!
