This week we are featuring several interviews on Community Matters. The first is with Dr. Julie Gralow, chief medical officer and executive vice president, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) about the latest cancer research findings.

We’re also talking with Darlene Green, Art Therapist with Hospice of the Piedmont, about the 2021 Journeys Summer Bereavement Day Camp. This camp is being offered for children and teens (5-18) who are affected by the death of a loved one. The program is provided as a public service and is funded by donations from grants and the community at large.

Finally, we speak with Matthew Miller, Ph.D., VA Suicide Prevention Program Director about resources the VA offers to prevent suicide and offer support beyond Mental Health Awareness month.
